Plumbing fixed!

A great big Thanks to Phillip for fixing the leak under the bathroom. The water line to the toilet in the girl’s room was dripping, probably for a real long time. All better now, so thanks!

“They Need Stroking”

A pastor said this commenting on the special attention he had to pay to certain members to get them to stay with the church. He had no respect for them whatsoever, and rightly so, but he sure needed their money in the offering plate so he “stroked them” whenever they needed it.

If you have to “stroke” people in order to have a church,  then what you have ought not be called a church. (Stroking does work for pets however, cats especially.)

Jesus did not say, “Upon this rock I will build my church and there you will feel appreciated and valued and special!” You should feel like a sinner who deserves Hell. God loves you and he will save you if you turn to Jesus even though you are worthless and you and I both know it. You know that you are unworthy not only to be in Heaven, but also unworthy to be a part of His church here on earth.

You can feel special at the bar. The whiskey will make you feel really special. And the bartender will make you feel appreciated especially if you’re a big tipper.

Health inspection!

Well we survived another visit by the Health Department. We got a superior rating. Congratulations to Judy and Journie for their competent care for this and thanks to those who helped with fixing things.
